Join Coinbase to help us build the future of economic freedom by improving our observability stack. As a Software Engineer on the Observability team, you'll work on enhancing reliability, performance, and scalability, ensuring the optimal performance of systems critical to Coinbase’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Improve observability, reliability, and availability through key metrics.
• Automate systems to reduce operational toil.
• Optimize cloud deployments (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with teams to minimize disruptions and automate incident responses.
• Mentor teams and improve system reliability.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Object-Oriented languages (Golang, Java, C#).
• Skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking under pressure.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with observability tools (Kibana, Datadog).
• Familiarity with high-throughput systems and databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, AWS).
• Crypto-forward experience (Ethereum, ENS, dApps).

Salary & Benefits

Pay Range: $147,900 USD - $174,000 USD

Includes bonus, equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
