Slack is looking for a seasoned software engineer to help lead the design, development, and implementation of secure-by-default tools and libraries used across our platform. Join a world-class team focused on authentication, authorization, and cryptography — and build frameworks that keep millions of users safe while enhancing developer experience.

As a Lead or Senior Engineer, you will:

✅ Set technical direction and mentor other engineers

✅ Build security-first frameworks & tools used org-wide

✅ Partner with Product & Program Managers on scalable, secure development

✅ Communicate risks and secure design patterns internally and externally

💼 What you bring:

✔ 5+ years in software development

✔ Strong grasp of security best practices (OWASP, SANS, etc.)

✔ Cross-platform experience (iOS, Linux, Windows, etc.)

✔ Familiarity with Amazon EC2 & containerized deployments

✔ Strong leadership, project planning, and mentoring skills

💰 Salary Range (WA): $157,600–$306,600
