• Position: Software Engineer, Safety Processing

• Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 base + equity + benefits

💼 What You’ll Do

• Improve and scale Discord’s safety pipeline — handling user reports and harmful content signals.
• Collaborate closely with Machine Learning teams to integrate models that enhance safety processing.
• Modernize backend business logic and frontend UIs for agent-facing tools (tools used by moderators/manual reviewers).
• Build next-gen tooling for content review at Discord’s massive scale.

🛠 What You Should Have

• 3+ years experience in full-stack development, primarily with Python + Flask or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical solutions for complex challenges.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

🎯 Bonus Points

• Experience building internal tools for content moderation, customer support, or safety investigations.
• Familiarity with scalable service architecture using tools like Kafka, Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Kubernetes.
