About the Role

As a Solution Engineer – Ecosystem, you’ll be a key enabler in Canva’s mission to become the world’s most extensible visual design platform. You’ll serve as the technical advisor and trusted partner for developers, system integrators, enterprise customers, and ecosystem stakeholders, ensuring they can effectively build on and integrate with Canva's Apps SDK and Connect API.

You'll work across Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Customer Success to deliver meaningful technical solutions and foster a vibrant developer community.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in Canva’s Apps SDK, Connect API, and developer tools.
• Design and deliver technical solutions for enterprise customers, system integrators, and developers building on the Canva platform.
• Create and present powerful demos, build proof-of-concept apps, and develop compelling technical documentation and presentations.
• Collaborate with product teams to stay ahead of the product roadmap and advocate for developer needs and API enhancements.
• Engage with the developer community—troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and champion their needs internally.
• Partner with sales, partnerships, and customer success teams to ensure smooth technical onboarding and post-integration support.

What We’re Looking For

• A strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, or web technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience building web applications and integrating with APIs.
• Familiarity with app marketplaces, SaaS platforms, and custom integration development.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, especially in enterprise SaaS environments.
• A collaborative mindset with a deep empathy for customers and developer experience.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills—you know how to explain complex ideas simply.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, or RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of integration platforms (like Zapier, Workato, or Tray.io).
• Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or product-led growth environment.
• Passion for design, creativity tools, or developer advocacy.
