Coinbase is working to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain, and they need a Staff Blockchain Security Architect to help make this vision a reality. In this role, you'll be part of a team focused on securing Coinbase's blockchain ecosystem, ensuring that onchain interactions are safe and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onchain Security Strategy: Develop security strategies and conduct security assessments for blockchain protocols.
• Lead Security Initiatives: Proactively identify key security risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
• Expert Guidance: Provide technical expertise in building security frameworks, analysis tools, and products.
• Mentorship: Coach and mentor the Protocol Security team, fostering crypto-forward skills and industry-leading practices.
• Industry Leadership: Help define cutting-edge security technologies and set industry standards for blockchain protocol security.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Onchain Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of L1 and L2 networks, DeFi protocols, staking, and blockchain infrastructure.
• Smart Contract Auditing: 3+ years of experience auditing smart contracts and leading audits of complex protocols.
• Vulnerability Identification: Expertise in identifying machine-level, transaction-level, and business logic vulnerabilities.
• Continuous Learning: A strong passion for staying up-to-date with rapidly evolving crypto and blockchain technologies.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Ability to mentor blockchain security engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Clear Communication: Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience building relationships with security, product, and engineering teams.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.

Compensation:

• Pay Range: $180,625—$212,500 USD
• Additional Benefits: Target bonus, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
