🔍 Job Description

As a Staff General Ledger Accountant, you will play a critical role in Coinbase’s global accounting operations. This role supports the month-end close process, ensures financial data accuracy, manages reconciliations, and collaborates cross-functionally with finance, tax, and operational teams. You will also be instrumental in maintaining compliance and supporting financial audits.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Execute daily journal entries and maintain accurate supporting schedules.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial documentation.
Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and other finance departments.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Support month-end close activities and audit preparation.
Assist in launching and supporting operational accounting processes.
Participate in projects related to system improvements or new product accounting.
Maintain and update SOPs and accounting process documentation.

✅ Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or high-growth company.
Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP.
Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems like NetSuite.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with international payroll accounting is a plus.
Ability to manage high-volume tasks under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
