Salary Range: $207,485 – $244,100 USD (plus bonus, equity, benefits

🌐 Context: Coinbase’s Consumer Product Design Team

This is not a maintenance role — it’s a 0→1 opportunity. You’ll be the founding designer on a new consumer-facing product (potentially something like onchain payroll, payments, or invoicing), meaning you’ll:

• Help define the product's core UX, structure, and design language
• Influence foundational decisions (MVP and long-term vision)
• Collaborate with teams across Coinbase (onboarding, payment rails, tax, etc.)

🔧 Core Responsibilities

You’ll be a true product owner from a design lens. Expect to:

1. Own End-to-End UX

• Design for new Coinbase product launch
• Create MVP experience and future-state prototypes
• Contribute at every stage: research, ideation, flows, visuals, testing

2. Design for Payments + Financial Tools

• Build UX for crypto-native payments, payroll, and invoicing
• Shape multi-user UX and features tied to compliance, settings, tax, etc.

3. User-Centered Strategy

• Conduct user interviews and usability testing
• Translate customer insights into product features
• Use feedback loops to iterate quickly in ambiguous spaces

✅ Qualifications

Required:

• 7+ years of product design experience
• End-to-end UX and visual design capabilities
• History of launching 0→1 products or owning major initiatives
• Cross-functional fluency with PMs, Engineers, and Business stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with mastery of Figma and prototyping tools
• Bias toward action, strong in ambiguity, and highly autonomous
• Genuine interest in crypto, blockchain, or financial tech

Nice to Haves:

• Fintech or crypto consumer product experience
• Familiarity with B2B2C design complexity (invoicing, multi-user workflows)
• Experience working on internal ventures or startup-style pods
• Strong storytelling to align stakeholders on vision
