We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our Ventures Team, where you'll help prototype and define new, transformative user experiences at Discord.

What You'll Be Doing

• Craft visionary experiences that demonstrate new growth opportunities, focusing on execution quality and iterative playtesting with users.
• Partner closely with the Head of Design to set the team's vision, unify diverse product ideas, and create tactical design deliverables.
• Lead UX strategy efforts by defining and prototyping future experiences based on deep user insights and product understanding.
• Elevate the design culture by sharing work across teams, running workshops, and advocating for new, innovative ways of working.
• Enhance the design system by identifying gaps and contributing UX patterns that are adopted across the organization.
• Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging open, respectful feedback and building strong cross-functional communication.

What You Should Have

• 7+ years of experience designing consumer-facing products at scale.
• Passion for communication, media, and gaming experiences.
• Strong leadership in design decision-making and the ability to influence across all levels, including executives.
• Excellent storytelling abilities across multiple mediums, capable of pitching and communicating design strategies effectively.
• Strategic thinker with a deep desire to understand the “why” behind product choices.
• A standout portfolio showcasing leadership in large-scale, high-impact design projects across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on experience working with and improving a design system.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $220,000 – $275,000 (base) + equity + benefits.
• Total compensation is influenced by experience, skills, and education.
