Staff Software Engineer - AI Accelerator

Location: India (Remote) | Full-time

Role:

Lead AI automation projects within Coinbase’s AI Growth Pods, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify, prototype, and scale AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. Build production-grade AI tools using GenAI/LLMs, mentor teams, and ensure responsible, secure AI deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discover AI opportunities and translate business needs into AI use cases
• Prototype and build AI solutions using Python, Golang, and frameworks like LangChain
• Deploy scalable, secure AI products
• Guide AI best practices and responsible usage
• Collaborate with AI platform teams and business stakeholders
• Measure and communicate AI impact

Requirements:

• 8+ years software engineering experience, 1+ year in applied AI/GenAI
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, AI automation tools, and microservices architecture
• Skilled in prototyping, system design, and coding
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Experience with security, compliance, and ethical AI

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI agents, workflow automation, and automation-focused roles
• Active AI community involvement
