About the FinHub Team:

The FinHub team is responsible for building a trusted and scalable financial data platform to serve as the golden source of truth for accounting and finance operations across Coinbase. This platform helps deliver accurate and timely financial reporting by transforming product and business data into financial outputs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architect and build backend systems for the financial data platform
• Define and guide the technical direction and architecture of FinHub systems
• Lead projects and manage deliverables, priorities, and timelines
• Write high-quality, scalable, and testable code
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product managers, designers, and leadership
• Develop and execute long-term strategies alongside technical leads
• Ensure data quality, enforce SLAs, and engage with upstream data teams
• Contribute positively to team culture and collaboration

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience architecting big data systems using Apache Spark, Hive, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of backend software development principles and scalable system design
• Experience integrating financial tools such as NetSuite, working on reconciliation, ledgers, and balance matching
• Familiarity with transforming business data into accounting or financial domains
• Experience integrating with banking partners and working with bank statements (file-based, API-based, or SWIFT)
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and improving code quality across teams

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):

• Experience with Golang, gRPC, Docker, Snowflake, Databricks, and advanced SQL
• Worked closely with finance and accounting teams
• Experience optimizing performance in big data systems
• Exposure to Kyriba or fintech-related financial platforms
• Passion for crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems
