Discord is seeking a full-stack UI and Interactions Specialist with deep React expertise, a passion for great design, and the ability to lead high-impact interface development across web and mobile. The ideal candidate loves building seamless, pixel-perfect UIs and thrives on bringing designs to life with rich animations and performance-optimized interactions.

✅ Key Responsibilities

1. UI/UX Implementation

• Develop visually polished, interactive interfaces using React and React Native
• Translate design concepts into production-ready code with smooth animations and delightful user interactions
• Partner with designers to solve interaction and UI challenges from ideation to implementation

2. Front-End Engineering Excellence

• Write maintainable, accessible, and high-performance code
• Ensure web and mobile UI components meet best practices in speed, accessibility, and responsiveness

3. Collaboration & Vision

• Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Marketing) to shape feature roadmaps
• Balance independent design problem-solving with implementing team-driven designs

4. Technical Leadership

• Mentor engineers and guide front-end architectural decisions
• Promote high standards in code quality, design integrity, and UI/UX craftsmanship

🧠 What You Should Have

• 8+ years of front-end experience building user-focused apps (web and/or mobile)
• Advanced React knowledge and eagerness to work with React Native
• Strong design sensibility—you understand both visual aesthetics and UX best practices
• Animation expertise—you can build fluid interactions and transitions that enhance the experience
• A strong portfolio showcasing live demos, code samples, or case studies (including animations & interactions)
• Deep understanding of performance optimization and web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings

• Experience with React Native in live mobile apps
• History of working on or building design systems (including tokens, theming, and reusable components)
• Proficiency with animation libraries like Framer Motion, Lottie, or React Spring
