🔍 About the Role:

This role is a key strategic position within Coinbase’s Finance team, focusing on managing vendor relationships, multimillion-dollar contracts, and financial risk mitigation. You’ll drive sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and collaborate across teams to optimize spend and reduce risks, while embodying Coinbase’s values of ownership, customer focus, efficient execution, and continuous learning.

✅ Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor internally and lead vendor communications and negotiations externally.
• Lead contract negotiations for new and existing suppliers alongside Legal and business teams.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to minimize financial, legal, and operational risks.
• Manage spend optimization projects to improve savings, supplier consolidation, and transparency.
• Conduct market research, RFx strategies, supplier evaluations, and cost modeling to inform sourcing decisions.
• Communicate sourcing decisions and impacts clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Promote adoption of best-in-class sourcing practices and innovate through new tools and technology.

👤 Requirements:

• BA/BS in Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, ideally in fast-growing industries.
• Proven ability to manage and negotiate multimillion-dollar contracts and vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with a record of creative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience leading large cross-functional projects.
• Expertise in spend management tools and risk mitigation frameworks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence teams at all organizational levels.
• Passionate about Coinbase’s mission and digital currency future.
