About the Role

TikTok is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our Global Tax Department in Dubai, playing a pivotal role in managing tax matters across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. This position provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at one of the world’s most innovative tech companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong regional tax knowledge and be able to manage compliance, audits, planning, and advisory matters independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance across MEA, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, DST, and Withholding Tax.
• Act as the main point of contact with local tax authorities and external tax advisors.
• Monitor and interpret new or proposed tax laws and regulations affecting business operations.
• Perform tax data validation, reconciliation, and review of VAT GL accounts, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct preliminary reviews of tax returns and ensure timely and accurate filings.
• Support periodic tax audits, internal compliance reviews, and tax risk assessments.
• Deliver internal tax training sessions to business stakeholders.
• Provide tax advisory services on new service lines and business initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (professional certification is a plus).
• 4+ years of progressive tax experience in the MEA region, preferably in a Big 4 firm or a multinational company.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting.
• Fluent in English, with excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the technology, media, or telecommunications (TMT) industry.
• Knowledge of international tax regulations and exposure to African tax regimes.
• Proven ability to coordinate with cross-border teams and external advisors.
