Overview:

As a TMS Compliance Analyst III at Coinbase, I contribute to a fast-paced and mission-driven compliance team responsible for end-to-end transaction monitoring investigations to ensure adherence to BSA/AML requirements. I independently manage complex alerts, conduct risk assessments, and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), all while upholding Coinbase’s high standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth investigations based on transaction monitoring alerts and internal/external referrals.
• Analyze transactional activity, perform KYC reviews, and interpret data from multiple internal tools to identify suspicious behavior.
• Draft clear, concise SAR narratives and escalate cases as needed.
• Collaborate with the QA team to incorporate feedback and enhance case quality.
• Maintain meticulous documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Stay current on industry and regulatory trends related to AML, KYC, and OFAC.
• Operate in a 24/7 environment with flexibility and a high degree of autonomy.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in AML compliance, financial services, investigations, or related regulatory work.
• Proven track record of drafting and filing SARs.
• Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs), MS Office tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• CAMS, CFCS, or CFE certification.
• Experience with Salesforce, Hummingbird, JIRA, and vendor collaboration.
• Background in analytics, project management, or vendor oversight.
• Advanced degree in business, finance, law, or a related field.
