Workplace Operations Specialist - San Francisco

Role Overview:

• Based in San Francisco Bay Area (on-site role).
• Focus on analyzing and improving Discord’s office environment using data.
• Use workplace analytics tools to track space use, occupancy, and employee engagement.
• Create reports and dashboards to guide decisions about office space and services.
• Communicate insights in a fun and relatable way to the whole company.
• Support daily office operations like events, vendor management, and workplace support tickets.
• Ensure the office is safe, comfortable, and welcoming for all employees.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage workplace analytics tools (like occupancy sensors, badge data).
• Build dashboards and analyze key workplace performance metrics.
• Turn complex data into engaging stories and communications.
• Help improve workplace operations through data-driven insights.
• Provide direct support for office-related questions and needs.
• Occasionally help with lifting or moving (up to 30 lbs).

Requirements:

• 4+ years in workplace support or similar roles.
• Strong skills in Excel and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Experience with workplace analytics platforms (Envoy, VergeSense, etc.).
• Good understanding of workplace tech and space planning.
• Excellent communication skills to make data fun and accessible.
• Ability to switch between technical analysis and creative communication.

Bonus Points:

• Experience making internal communications fun and digestible.
• Project management skills or certification.
• Experience with vendor management or supporting multiple office locations.

Salary & Location:

• $100,000 – $112,000 base salary + equity + benefits.
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
