Role Overview:

As an Algorithmic Trader at Wintermute, you will be responsible for managing your own "desk" from day one. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own trading algorithms and strategies while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced traders and developers, including the founders. The role offers a high level of independence and responsibility, allowing you to make an immediate impact on the company’s P&L. You will work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with no bureaucracy, offering a steep learning curve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Improve existing trading strategies, introduce new trading products, and enhance the technology behind Wintermute’s trading systems.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large amounts of trading and transaction data to generate insights and prioritize actionable findings.
• P&L Impact: Contribute to the company's profitability by developing and executing new ideas and strategies.
• Continuous Learning: You will be encouraged to explore new strategies and trading products, learning and adapting quickly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team, trading, coding, and analyzing data to create impactful solutions.

Hard Skills Requirements:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role (internships at HFT firms are a plus).
• Python Skills: Strong coding skills in Python (1-3 years of experience). You will be tested!
• Quantitative Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills. You will be tested!
• Trading Knowledge: While trading knowledge isn't required, a strong willingness and curiosity to learn about algorithmic, high-frequency, quantitative, and liquidity provision trading is crucial.
• Blockchain & Crypto: A genuine interest in blockchain, crypto, and DeFi, with a passion for keeping track of major developments in the crypto world.
