Coinbase is seeking a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to lead and manage the Information Security Program for its APAC entities. This role supports the company’s rapidly evolving Institutional business lines, ensuring the highest security standards while maintaining user-friendly product experiences. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, cryptography, product, and compliance teams to embed security across platforms used in APAC.

🔐 What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead Information Security operations for Coinbase’s APAC business.
• Operate and refine core security processes supporting products used by APAC clients.
• Analyze and improve operational processes to balance security and usability.
• Conduct data analysis to measure security initiative effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Document and design security policies and manage risk frameworks.
• Implement and interpret regulatory security requirements in expanding APAC jurisdictions.

🧠 What We’re Looking For:

• Expert in designing and optimizing operational processes at scale.
• Strong ability to analyze and report on data, including executive-level communications.
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of backend systems/architectures.
• SQL proficiency, ideally in Snowflake or similar platforms.
• Passionate about staying current on security threats and tech innovation.

✨ Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Looker or other BI/visualization platforms.
• Background in high-security or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cryptography, multi-party computation, or key management.
• Bachelor's in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
