Your Role & Responsibilities

As Communications Manager, you will shape and amplify Crunchbase’s public relations strategy, positioning us as an industry leader in predictive intelligence. You will:

🔹 Lead PR Strategy – Develop and execute corporate, product, and crisis communication strategies.

🔹 Manage PR Agency – Oversee external PR firms, ensuring alignment with Crunchbase’s brand objectives.

🔹 Media Relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers, securing top-tier media coverage.

🔹 Executive Thought Leadership – Create and place bylines, interviews, and speaking opportunities for Crunchbase executives.

🔹 Spokesperson Training – Provide media coaching and develop key messaging for company representatives.

🔹 Content & Storytelling – Leverage Crunchbase data, product launches, and market insights to craft compelling brand stories.

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with content, social media, and marketing teams to amplify PR initiatives.

🔹 Awards & Recognition – Oversee industry award submissions to establish Crunchbase as a thought leader.

🔹 Performance Tracking – Analyze and report on PR impact, media coverage, and brand sentiment.

What You Need to Succeed

✅ 5+ years in B2B tech PR/communications – Background in public relations, journalism, or corporate communications.

✅ Proven PR Strategy Execution – Experience in shaping brand narratives, managing media relations, and handling crisis communication.

✅ Strong Media Network – Established connections with tech journalists, analysts, and business influencers.

✅ Exceptional Writing & Storytelling Skills – Ability to craft engaging press releases, articles, and thought leadership pieces.

✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration – Ability to work with executives, product teams, and marketing teams to align messaging.

✅ Crisis Management Experience – Skilled in handling press inquiries and shaping company responses.

✅ Experience with AI & Data Storytelling – Familiarity with leveraging data insights for PR narratives.

✅ Proficiency in Google Suite & Slack.
