Position Overview

Scroll is looking for a bilingual Chinese-Speaking Community Manager to lead and grow our Chinese-speaking communities across the APAC region. As a key team member, you will manage interactions on platforms like Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X, ensuring active engagement, fostering collaboration, and providing continuous support to our vibrant developer and user communities. You will also be responsible for translations, organizing online and offline events, and building relationships with partners to expand Scroll's presence in the region.

Responsibilities

Community Management

• Lead and manage Chinese-speaking communities on platforms like Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X, fostering an engaged and positive atmosphere.
• Respond promptly to community inquiries, share platform updates, and maintain a collaborative environment.
• Plan, host, and attend online and offline events such as meetups, workshops, community calls, and hackathons to engage developers and users.

Translations & Localized Content

• Translate technical and marketing materials from English to Chinese and vice versa, ensuring high accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Localize content to meet the needs and interests of Chinese-speaking audiences while maintaining the integrity of the message.
• Ensure all content resonates with community expectations and is clear to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Partner Engagement

• Build relationships with developers, local businesses, and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) in the APAC region to expand Scroll’s influence.
• Work with local influencers and micro-influencers to promote Scroll through campaigns and partnerships.
• Assist with building and executing strategies for community expansion and brand awareness.

Community Expansion

• Identify opportunities to scale and improve engagement across social media, messaging platforms, and other tools popular in the APAC region.
• Track community feedback, gather insights, and share them with internal teams to help inform the product roadmap and engagement strategies.

Requirements

Language Skills & Location

• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Based in Asia with a deep understanding of the regional culture and dynamics.

Community Management Experience

• Proven experience managing online communities, particularly on platforms like Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
• Experience engaging both developer and user communities in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
• Familiarity with running and hosting online events, such as meetups, community calls, and hackathons.

Passion for Blockchain and Crypto

• Familiarity with the blockchain technology ecosystem, including Ethereum, zkRollups, and DeFi platforms.
• Understanding of how smart contracts, cryptocurrency, and NFTs contribute to the growth of decentralized applications and networks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in blockchain, Layer 2, or crypto-focused roles.
• Strong connections with developer communities or KOLs in the APAC region.
• Previous startup experience or familiarity with working in high-growth environments.
• Experience managing open-source projects and using platforms like Github to collaborate with developers.
• Active involvement in crypto communities, including managing degen groups or related forums.
