💰 Compensation: $188,000 - $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

✈️ Travel Requirement: 50%+ domestic travel

We are looking for a Data Center Site Selection Manager to join our Data Center Site Selection team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing optimal locations for Meta’s owned data centers. You will lead contract negotiations, site feasibility assessments, and partnerships with key stakeholders, including economic development agencies, property owners, utilities, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Site Selection & Strategy

• Develop and execute Meta’s data center location strategy within assigned regions.
• Lead feasibility assessments and site selection efforts, considering factors such as real estate, incentives, energy, utilities, network connectivity, policy, and financial impact.
• Partner with internal teams (capacity planning, energy, network engineering, legal, policy, finance) to align site selection with company goals.

✅ Contract Negotiation & Agreements

• Negotiate and secure letters of intent (LOIs), land/building purchases, economic development incentives, and site-specific agreements (e.g., water, sewer, power supply).
• Work closely with legal and financial teams to ensure compliance and financial viability of agreements.
• Support power negotiation efforts in coordination with utility providers.

✅ Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

• Act as Meta’s representative when engaging with government agencies, utility companies, property owners, and service providers.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local communities and economic development entities to support Meta’s data center expansion.
• Oversee and monitor ongoing contractual commitments for existing data centers and negotiate extensions or new agreements as needed.

✅ Portfolio & Project Management

• Develop and implement portfolio management metrics and tracking mechanisms for real estate and leasing activities.
• Work with external lease management companies to oversee and optimize site portfolios.
• Prepare site recommendations and reports for senior leadership approval.

Minimum Qualifications

✔️ 10+ years of experience in site selection, data center infrastructure, or large-scale capital project development.

✔️ Strong experience in real estate negotiations, including contract formation and deal structuring.

✔️ Proven ability to engage with government agencies, utilities, and key infrastructure providers.

✔️ Experience leading large-scale real estate development projects, coordinating internal teams, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.

✔️ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present contractual, market, and commercial details at all levels of the organization.

✔️ Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote (2+ years).

Preferred Qualifications

🔹 Experience in hyperscale data center site selection or leasing negotiations.

🔹 Background in economic development, public-private partnerships, or infrastructure financing.
