To strengthen our design infrastructure, we are seeking a highly skilled Design System Designer to take ownership of our scalable and adaptable design system. Your role will empower our product and design teams to deliver consistent, intuitive, and engaging experiences for millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design System Ownership

• Build, maintain, and evolve Gate.io’s design system to ensure consistency across all platforms and products.
• Define best practices, standards, and frameworks for reusable UI components.

✅ Component Development & Documentation

• Design, document, and manage a comprehensive library of UI components and interaction guidelines.
• Ensure all components adhere to usability, scalability, and accessibility best practices.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation to support adoption across teams.

✅ Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to align the design system with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Partner with engineers to ensure seamless implementation and performance of design components.

✅ Accessibility & Inclusivity

• Ensure all UI components and patterns comply with WCAG and global accessibility standards.
• Advocate for inclusive design principles to enhance usability across diverse audiences.

✅ Scalability & Adaptability

• Develop a design system that can scale across multiple platforms, new features, and evolving brand requirements.
• Regularly evaluate and improve system performance, usability, and flexibility.

✅ Quality Assurance & Trend Analysis

• Collaborate with developers to QA and refine UI implementation.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in design systems to continuously improve Gate.io’s design ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

✔️ 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong focus on building and maintaining design systems.

✔️ Portfolio showcasing your work on design systems, UI components, and implementation in real-world projects.

✔️ Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

✔️ Strong understanding of design principles, UI patterns, and interaction design.

✔️ Experience working with developers, understanding front-end frameworks like HTML, CSS, and React (a plus).

✔️ Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

✔️ Detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for ensuring design consistency and high-quality user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

🔹 Experience designing for Web3, cryptocurrency, or financial platforms.

🔹 Understanding of multi-language, multi-cultural UX considerations.

🔹 Previous experience working in fast-paced, remote teams.
