About the Role: We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead one of our platform engineering teams. This remote crypto job involves managing a team of engineers, overseeing their daily tasks, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. As an Engineering Manager, you will mentor and develop your team, foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, and work cross-functionally with teams to achieve Aptos' mission in decentralized finance, Web3, and blockchain technology.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Direction: Lead the development of roadmaps, share updates, and ensure your team is integrated into the broader Aptos ecosystem.
• Team Leadership: Support team members by understanding their passions and connecting them to impactful opportunities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Represent your team in external efforts, ensuring timelines and roadmaps are well-executed.
• Performance Management: Set expectations for your team, conduct performance reviews, and identify growth opportunities.
• Design Review Processes: Ensure that roadmaps are executed exceptionally well through strong design review processes.
• Crypto & Blockchain Expertise: Stay engaged with the world of cryptocurrency, NFTs, smart contracts, DeFi platforms, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.
• Engineering Involvement: When necessary, engage in engineering work, identify issues, and help design and implement solutions.
• Autonomous Work: Navigate a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-team communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a management role, preferably working with senior engineers.
• Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Rust, Move, TypeScript, and experience with blockchain technologies, DeFi platforms, smart contracts, and NFTs.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for interacting with community members, team members, and third parties.
• Culture Fit: Experience in the Internet culture, memes, Discord, Twitter, and related crypto-community spaces.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $215k - $285k (varies by experience and location)
