Role Overview: As the Events Strategy Lead for the APAC region, you will play a crucial role in connecting Polygon Labs with the Web3 ecosystem by driving the global events strategy. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing engaging event programming, managing the speaker life-cycle, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams to ensure Polygon’s events align with the company’s broader goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Event Programming: Lead the strategy for Polygon Labs’ events in the APAC region by leveraging industry knowledge, Web3 insights, and community passion to create engaging event content.
• Speaker Management: Oversee the entire speaker management life-cycle, from outreach and content review to onsite coordination and post-event follow-ups for virtual and in-person events.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Developer Relations, Solutions, Business Development, PR, and Leadership to craft impactful events that align with Polygon Labs’ objectives.
• Event Marketing Initiatives: Manage small to large-scale events and marketing initiatives, including hackathons, developer events, and technical conferences (80+ activations annually).
• Content Strategy Development: Create tailored content strategies for external conferences, aligning with the company’s mission and ensuring impactful presentations.
• Event Coordination: Manage internal staff attendance and event strategy to ensure desired outcomes from each event.
• Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with Web3 trends and top voices to incorporate in event programming.

What You'll Need:

• Event Experience: Proven experience working with speakers at conferences or external-facing events.
• Deep Web3 Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, key industry voices, and topics that resonate within the community.
• Storytelling & Presentation Skills: Ability to craft compelling event content and presentations.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to bring people into the process and ensure visibility in event planning and execution.
• Creative Mindset: A passion for bringing new ideas to existing projects and pushing the team to innovate.
• Collaboration: A love for working with cross-functional teams and building relationships within the community and ecosystem.
