About the Role:

Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its FinOps – Operations Readiness Team. This team is responsible for supporting Amazon's global expansion by streamlining Accounts Payable (AP) processes. As part of the team, the successful candidate will drive complex projects and work closely with global teams, including business partners, technology, tax, and subject matter experts, to enhance FinOps and AP processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead large-scale programs and projects from inception to delivery, working with cross-functional, geographically diverse teams.
• Solution Implementation: Translate business requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring the implementation is comprehensive across people, processes, policies, and technology.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to test and launch scalable solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring high standards of financial control.
• Execution: Follow Amazon's project methodology frameworks for consistent, efficient project execution, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and manage risks, obstacles, and challenges, with contingency plans in place.
• Monitoring: Track and report project health metrics to Senior Leadership after go-live.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of FinOps and AP processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years of post-qualification experience in Shared Services, Accounts Payable, and data-driven decision-making.
• Project Management: 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation, with experience working with both internal and external customers.
• Independence: Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and deliver results.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) or Six Sigma (DMAIC methodology).
• Industry Experience: Retail industry experience, especially using Oracle Financial Applications.
