Role Overview

To support Ledger’s growth, the company is looking for a Firmware Applications Engineer to join the embedded firmware team. In this role, you will work on the development and maintenance of secure applications running on Ledger's hardware wallet operating system. You will help improve the application development framework, ensure the quality of applications, and release new applications to Ledger Live.

Your Mission

• Application Development: Implement and maintain secure applications on Ledger’s operating system for hardware wallets.
• Framework Improvement: Develop and enhance the application development framework.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of applications through testing, CI (Continuous Integration), guidelines, and documentation.
• Application Deployment: Release and deploy new applications to be available on Ledger Live.
• Support: Assist third-party developers with their integration efforts and troubleshoot issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work with the OS team for SDK evolutions.
• Collaborate with the Security team for vulnerability analysis and corrections.
• Partner with the Product team for prioritizing features.
• Work with the Customer Success team for addressing end-user issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience in Embedded C software development.
• Good knowledge of Python software development.
• General knowledge of Cryptography.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively across teams.
• Bonus Points:
• Interest or knowledge in Blockchain technologies.
• Experience in Rust software development.
