IMC Trading – HPC Storage Engineer

Overview:

Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance, scalable global storage systems to support IMC's data-intensive trading and research operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage global storage platforms (e.g., Lustre, GPFS, Ceph, S3)
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams on data workflows
• Troubleshoot complex storage, Linux, and networking issues
• Integrate storage with distributed compute clusters
• Participate in global support to ensure uptime and performance

Requirements:

• 5+ years in storage architecture/system design in large-scale compute environments
• Expertise in Linux systems, file systems, performance tuning, and hardware components (e.g., NVMe, NIC, PCIe)
• Programming in Rust, Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with storage platforms: Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS, Weka, etc.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, cloud (AWS/GCP), ML frameworks
