Position Overview:
Patrick Industries is seeking a results-driven Industrial Sales Representative to join their Industrial Pillar serving the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic territory. In this role, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Team, Suppliers, and Inside Sales to drive sales and build long-lasting relationships with both new and existing customers. The position offers one-on-one training from industry experts and presents rapid growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Relationship Building:
- Build long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Introduce products and services to new customers and provide solutions to existing accounts to foster growth.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager, Inside Sales Support, and Manufacturing teams to exceed sales and margin targets.
- Customer Management:
- Track customer orders and communicate any updates or potential issues.
- Work with business units to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, etc.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with the support teams to process customer orders, manage product costing, pricing, and quotes in collaboration with Customer Service.
- Actively contribute to the company's "BETTER Together" culture through teamwork and mutual support across departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Outside Sales or Project Management.
- Experience in building materials, cabinet, commercial casework markets, construction project management, or direct sales to OEM accounts is highly desired.
- Industry Relationships:
- Established industry relationships are preferred.
- Other Skills:
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- A self-starter, driven by passion, creativity, and a desire to exceed expectations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- A strong focus on attention to detail, project management, and time management.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60% within the territory (including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and New England).
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks independently.
