Internal Audit Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst

Coinbase is looking for an experienced Financial Crimes Compliance Audit Analyst to join their Internal Audit team. This role will focus on executing financial crime compliance audits, including planning, testing, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FinTech or financial services industry and a strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, anti-bribery, fraud, and other financial crime compliance rules.

Responsibilities:

• Audit Execution: Manage the execution of compliance audits from start to finish, including planning, data analysis, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Internal Controls: Assess and confirm the effectiveness of internal controls and processes.
• Documentation: Review documents, execute testing, and document findings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable AML, sanctions, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Data Analysis: Perform analysis of large data sets to validate processes and controls.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Hold walkthroughs with internal teams to understand processes and internal controls.
• Remediation: Review and validate management's corrective actions and remediation efforts.

Requirements:

• Education: BA/BS degree.
• Experience: 3+ years in Risk Management, Compliance, Law, Consulting, or Data Analysis within financial crime compliance for financial institutions.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and SQL is preferred.
• Understanding: Familiarity with AML, Sanctions, anti-bribery regulations, and the financial services industry.

Nice to Have:

• Crypto/Blockchain Experience: Knowledge of crypto, payments, or blockchain technology.
• Audit Experience: Experience working with internal audit functions in a fast-paced or regulated environment.

Compensation:

• Salary: $95,030 – $111,800 USD (based on location and qualifications).
• Benefits: Includes target bonus, equity, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
