As a premier intelligence provider to major AML (Anti-Money Laundering) platforms like Chainalysis, we are building the first central blacklist data hub to enable rapid blocking of stolen funds across exchanges and swaps.

Role Overview

As an Investigator at Chainlabs, you will conduct in-depth blockchain investigations to track, freeze, and recover stolen or illicit cryptocurrency funds. This is a part-time role with the potential to become full-time based on performance and mutual fit. The position offers competitive hourly pay, performance-based bonuses, and equity opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

🔎 Blockchain Investigations:

• Trace stolen and illicit crypto funds in complex, high-value cases.
• Use Chainlabs’ investigative tools and your own blockchain forensic resources (if available).

📑 Reporting & Documentation:

• Draft concise and professional reports for clients and law enforcement.
• Maintain detailed records to facilitate blacklist distribution across AML networks.

🤝 Collaboration & Engagement:

• Work with analysts, developers, and compliance teams to streamline investigations.
• Communicate with law enforcement, exchanges, and third parties to expedite fund recovery.

Qualifications & Experience

✅ Required:

• Proven experience in financial crime investigations, blockchain forensics, cybersecurity, cybercrime, intelligence, or forensic analysis (web3 experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of blockchain transaction mechanisms (mixers, swaps, bridges, etc.).
• Ability to articulate investigative findings clearly in reports and presentations.
• Fluency in English.

• Access to blockchain forensic tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, Crystal).
• Fluency in multiple languages.
• Previous investigative experience in web3 (private sector, governmental, or law enforcement).
