About Blockchain Association:
The Blockchain Association is the leading nonprofit representing the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, advocating for pro-innovation policies and regulatory clarity. Our 100+ member organizations include developers, exchanges, custodians, and investors shaping the digital asset ecosystem.
About the Role:
We are seeking two part-time Legal Interns for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 to work on cutting-edge crypto law and policy issues. Interns will contribute to legal research, advocacy, and industry engagement while gaining hands-on experience in blockchain regulation and government affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research & Writing: Draft memoranda analyzing regulatory and legal issues.
- Policy & Advocacy Support: Assist in preparing reports, court filings, and comment letters.
- Legislative & Litigation Engagement: Participate in administrative advocacy and litigation initiatives.
- Industry Collaboration: Engage with Blockchain Association members and industry lawyers.
Internship Details:
- 20+ hours per week (preferably in the DC office; one remote position available).
- Unpaid position (course credit available through law school programs).
- Application Deadlines:
- Fall 2025 Internship: June 27, 2025
- Spring 2026 Internship: September 26, 2025
Qualifications:
✅ Currently enrolled (1L or above) at an ABA-accredited U.S. law school.
✅ Strong interest in blockchain & digital assets policy and regulation.
✅ Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for civil liberties (e.g., financial privacy & free speech).
- Hands-on experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
- Interest in pursuing a crypto-related legal career.
