Role Overview:

Lead and scale compliance operations at Coinbase’s London Centre of Excellence (COE). Manage teams handling Enhanced Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, and Screening. Drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver a world-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute strategic plans to hit quality and operational targets
• Lead, coach, and grow managers and compliance professionals
• Oversee compliance workflows and continuous process improvement
• Partner cross-functionally to drive scalable, innovative solutions
• Ensure high hiring standards and build a strong, high-performing team

Requirements:

• 10+ years in AML/Financial Crime Compliance
• Proven leadership in scaling compliance operations
• Strong knowledge of banking regs, risk controls, and audits
• People management, coaching, and process improvement skills

Nice to Have:

• ACAMS or similar certifications
• Experience in analytics, project management
• Advanced tools knowledge (JIRA, Salesforce, Looker)
