This role sits within the Network Infrastructure Team, a tight-knit group that directly supports low-latency trading systems and collaborates closely with traders, software engineers, and global tech teams.

What You’ll Do

As a Network Engineer, your focus will be on designing, maintaining, and improving DRW’s EMEA network infrastructure, while also supporting global networking efforts. You'll be part of a high-performance team solving real-time problems and building automated tooling for network operations.

✅ Core Responsibilities:

• Architect, implement, and support regional (EMEA) and global network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in collaboration with the global Operations Center.
• Interface with trading desks and technical teams to plan and implement improvements.
• Drive automation and observability—contribute to tooling using Python and/or Golang.
• Work hands-on with cutting-edge networking gear (routers, switches, GPS, timing servers, etc.).
• Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled weekend/night work (within a balanced framework).

What They’re Looking For

💼 Required Experience:

• 3+ years as a network engineer in fast-paced environments
• CCNP certification or equivalent skills/knowledge
• Solid grasp of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, Network Security)
• Strong diagnostic instincts—tenacious problem solver

👨‍💻 Bonus Skills:

• Experience in trading, finance, or low-latency environments
• Familiarity with timing infrastructure (GPS, White Rabbit, PTP, NTP)
• Hands-on scripting skills in Python or Golang (or strong interest in learning)
• Experience with network automation, monitoring systems, and DevOps tools
