IMC Trading – Network Engineer

📍 Amsterdam | Hybrid | Mid-Level

Role Summary:

Design, implement, and maintain IMC’s high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure. Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable and secure connectivity solutions supporting trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & support European WAN/LAN & low-latency trading connectivity (BGP, PIM SM, multicast, QoS, NAT, etc.)
• Manage network performance, troubleshoot with tools (e.g., tcpdump, Ekahau, Wireshark)
• Maintain security platforms (Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, NAC like Aruba Clearpass)
• Automate infrastructure via Python, Bash, Ansible
• Maintain detailed network documentation
• Support infrastructure changes outside business hours as needed
• Collaborate with vendors, exchanges, and providers on new solutions

Qualifications

• Strong background in networking design and operations
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, multicast routing (PIM SM)
• Skilled in Wireshark, tcpdump, Python/Bash scripting
• Familiar with Linux systems (CentOS/Rocky)
• Experience with Palo Alto, VPNs, Aruba Clearpass, and Ansible
• Strong communicator and team collaborator
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands
