Role Overview:

As a Platform Engineer at Aptos Labs, you'll be part of the Platform team, responsible for building and maintaining software platforms and tools to support engineers and the broader ecosystem. Your team will enable other teams to self-serve through cloud infrastructure and tools like Pulumi, Helm, Terraform, and internal platforms like the API Gateway. Your work will ensure that Aptos continues to build a reliable, scalable infrastructure to support fast-growing projects in blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Platform Design & Maintenance: Build and maintain platforms such as CI, Release, and Cloud Infrastructure using TypeScript, Python, and Rust.
• Coding & Debugging: Write and review code, develop documentation, create disaster recovery plans, and debug complex issues in Aptos blockchain tech stacks.
• System Development: Design and develop new systems to improve throughput, latency, reliability, security, and availability for the blockchain and related services.
• On-Call Support: Share an on-call rotation with the team and be an escalation contact for service incidents.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 2+ years of backend software development.
• Languages: Experience with at least one of the following: Python, TypeScript, C++, PHP, or Rust.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies such as Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud environments.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Developer Experience: Passionate about making platforms seamless for both internal and external developers.
• Pressure Management: Ability to excel under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary & Compensation:

• Base Salary: $160k - $260k (based on experience and location in the Bay Area).
• Additional compensation includes equity (RSUs), Protocol Token Grants, and other benefits.
