Our mission is to achieve regulatory clarity and educate policymakers, regulators, and the courts about how blockchain technology can create a more secure, competitive, and consumer-friendly digital marketplace. The Association represents over 100 member organizations across the blockchain industry, including software developers, infrastructure providers, exchanges, custodians, investors, and others supporting the public blockchain ecosystem.
Role and Responsibilities
The Blockchain Association is seeking a Policy Analyst to join our team. This full-time role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in digital asset law and policy. The Policy Analyst will report to the Head of Policy and play a key role in developing and executing the Association’s policy strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and assist in the development of policy positions on a wide range of issues related to the digital asset industry, including mining, staking, trading, custody, privacy, decentralized finance (DeFi), stablecoins, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), DAOs, gaming, and more.
- Analyze policy issues and draft documents such as Hill briefing memos, talking points, whitepapers, comment letters, educational materials, and other written content.
- Monitor proposed legislation, agency rulemakings, litigation, and other matters impacting the digital asset industry.
- Stay current with emerging research and provide updates to the team.
- Attend and prepare for meetings with Hill staff, regulators, and other policymakers.
- Communicate with Blockchain Association members to provide analysis and build consensus on policy positions.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Blockchain Association’s policy goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record.
- A demonstrated interest in digital assets and blockchain technology.
- Education or experience in U.S. government affairs or the policymaking process.
- Excellent critical thinking, research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and work independently.
- Ability to succeed as a team player in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and professionalism.
Preferred:
- A passion for protecting civil liberties, such as freedom of speech and financial privacy.
- Experience using digital assets or blockchain technology, including DeFi or NFTs.
- Current students in the final year of a bachelor’s or graduate degree program will also be considered.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: USD $65,000 - $75,000 annually
