🧠 About the Role

This role focuses on strategic sales of Red Hat solutions (an IBM subsidiary) — including hybrid cloud, containerization, middleware, IT automation, and infrastructure modernization. As a Digital Sales Specialist, you’ll handle full-cycle sales: account ownership, deal closing, territory development, and client relationship management.


Your Core Responsibilities

🧩 Sales & Account Management

  • Manage and grow accounts in a defined territory
  • Identify new opportunities (hunting) and expand within current customers (farming)
  • Close deals around Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud solutions

📈 Territory Strategy & Planning

  • Build strategies to penetrate white-space accounts
  • Collaborate with channel partners, tech reps, and sales engineering teams

🤝 Client Engagement & Consulting

  • Understand client needs and buying cycles
  • Customize use cases, respond to RFPs and POCs
  • Act as a trusted advisor through digital communication and content

🔄 Digital Selling & Tools

  • Use digital research, LinkedIn, CRM tools, and email/video selling
  • Share content, create thought leadership material (posts/blogs)


🎓 Required Qualifications

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of digital sales processes (from lead gen to renewals)
  • Confident in prospecting and closing new logos
  • Strong video, written, and in-person communication
  • Familiar with digital research, client segmentation, social selling
  • CRM proficiency (e.g. Salesforce)

👥 Soft Skills

  • Collaborative and adaptable
  • Agile mindset to respond to changing client/market needs
  • High personal integrity and customer-centric attitude


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years in software or SaaS sales with a proven track record
  • Experience with:
  • SaaS / Platform sales
  • Cloud computing (Hybrid/Public/Private)
  • Red Hat, Open Source tools
  • Infrastructure & App Modernization
  • Background in selling IT solutions to enterprise clients
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
