This role focuses on strategic sales of Red Hat solutions (an IBM subsidiary) — including hybrid cloud, containerization, middleware, IT automation, and infrastructure modernization. As a Digital Sales Specialist, you’ll handle full-cycle sales: account ownership, deal closing, territory development, and client relationship management.
✅ Your Core Responsibilities
🧩 Sales & Account Management
- Manage and grow accounts in a defined territory
- Identify new opportunities (hunting) and expand within current customers (farming)
- Close deals around Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud solutions
📈 Territory Strategy & Planning
- Build strategies to penetrate white-space accounts
- Collaborate with channel partners, tech reps, and sales engineering teams
🤝 Client Engagement & Consulting
- Understand client needs and buying cycles
- Customize use cases, respond to RFPs and POCs
- Act as a trusted advisor through digital communication and content
🔄 Digital Selling & Tools
- Use digital research, LinkedIn, CRM tools, and email/video selling
- Share content, create thought leadership material (posts/blogs)
🎓 Required Qualifications
✔ Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of digital sales processes (from lead gen to renewals)
- Confident in prospecting and closing new logos
- Strong video, written, and in-person communication
- Familiar with digital research, client segmentation, social selling
- CRM proficiency (e.g. Salesforce)
👥 Soft Skills
- Collaborative and adaptable
- Agile mindset to respond to changing client/market needs
- High personal integrity and customer-centric attitude
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 8+ years in software or SaaS sales with a proven track record
- Experience with:
- SaaS / Platform sales
- Cloud computing (Hybrid/Public/Private)
- Red Hat, Open Source tools
- Infrastructure & App Modernization
- Background in selling IT solutions to enterprise clients
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
