About the Role:

Work at Base (a Coinbase initiative) to support the onchain ecosystem by providing deep data science insights. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to influence decision-making and improve user understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze ambiguous business problems to produce actionable insights.
• Own data metrics and develop visualizations.
• Guide code reviews and create reliable ETL pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Ensure statistical rigor in experiments and causal analysis.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, Physics, Computer Science) with 5+ years experience, OR PhD with 3+ years experience.
• Proven track record driving impactful data science projects.
• Strong storytelling skills to influence stakeholders with data.
• Expertise in complex modeling frameworks applied to business problems.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience with iterative digital product development.
