About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join our high-performing Global Desktop Support Team in Bangalore. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining robust, secure, and efficient IT systems—supporting everything from trading floor operations to executive-level users in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

This position demands technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and strong interpersonal skills to provide white-glove support across our global user base.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and resolve incidents and service requests via ServiceNow, ensuring timely and efficient resolution with detailed ticket documentation.
• Deliver on-site, VIP, and trade floor support to executives, traders, and global business units.
• Troubleshoot a broad spectrum of technical issues: hardware, software, networking, remote access, market data apps (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
• Administer Microsoft platforms including Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, GPO, and SCCM.
• Maintain and enhance the end-user computing infrastructure and contribute to its strategic evolution.
• Ensure excellent customer service delivery, adapting communication styles to a wide range of stakeholders—including C-suite executives.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and cross-functional IT projects.
• Maintain IT documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.

Required Experience & Skills

Technical (Essential)

• 5+ years of Desktop Support experience, preferably in Financial Services.
• Experience supporting trading environments and market data applications.
• Advanced knowledge of:
• Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite
• Active Directory (GPO), Microsoft 365 Administration
• VMWare vSphere Suite
• Networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP)
• ServiceNow ticket management
• SCCM, Endpoint Management

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a hedge fund or high-pressure trading floor environment
• Familiarity with VMware Horizon, PowerShell scripting, and automation tools
• Understanding of ITIL framework and principles
