About the Team
The UED (User Experience Design) Monetization Product team is responsible for building innovative, user-centric products that help our users and creators monetize their content effectively. This is a high-impact role where you will help evolve TikTok's consumer advertising products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless and effective solutions for users and creators.
Role Overview
As a Product Designer in the Monetization Product team, you will lead the design and enhancement of tools that help creators and businesses promote their content and products on TikTok. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to innovate and optimize products in the monetization space.
What You Will Do
- Lead Design Efforts: Design new features and improvements to monetization products based on user needs and business goals.
- Prototype and Test: Quickly build prototypes, test them with users, and iterate based on feedback.
- High-Fidelity Design: Create detailed UI/UX specifications and design high-quality user interfaces that communicate requirements clearly.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Collaborate with product teams to make strategic decisions and align design vision with overall product strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into the final product.
- User Empathy: Conduct user research, including qualitative and quantitative studies, to deeply understand user needs and challenges.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years in product design, particularly in designing and shipping end-to-end products with complex user flows, multiple scenarios, and varying user roles.
- Monetization & Advertising Experience: Experience in designing tools for ads, monetization, or feed-based products.
- User-Centric Design: Proven ability to empathize with users and create solutions tailored to their needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with PMs, engineers, and other teams to deliver high-quality products.
- High-Level & Detail-Oriented: Ability to think strategically about product vision and also focus on visual UI details.
- Self-Motivated: Able to run projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Design Critiques: Enjoy discussing designs in group settings and participating in design reviews.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Visualization: Experience with or interest in data visualization and translating complex data into simple, user-friendly designs.
- Launching New Products: History of launching 0-1 products and building solutions from scratch.
- Problem Solving & Resilience: Enjoy solving tough design challenges and thrive in ambiguous situations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $137,244 - $318,960 annually (depending on qualifications, experience, and location).
- Additional Compensation: Potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
