🚀 Role Overview

This is a hybrid journalism + research analyst role. You’ll transform on-chain data and market analytics into high-quality editorial content for a global crypto-savvy audience. The ideal candidate combines financial acumen, investigative rigor, and top-notch storytelling.

📌 Key Responsibilities

🔍 Research & Data Analysis

• Conduct technical and fundamental analysis of major digital assets.
• Use on-chain analytics tools (e.g. Dune, Nansen, Glassnode) to surface insights.
• Track price action, whale activity, liquidity flows, and key metrics.

🧠 Journalism & Content

• Write investigative articles, market reports, and analytical features.
• Break down complex blockchain concepts into digestible formats.
• Stay on top of DeFi, NFTs, regulatory updates, and major crypto news.
• Collaborate with editors, fact-checkers, and content producers.
• Publish insights on CoinDesk’s platform and possibly contribute to podcasts or video segments.

🗣️ Source Development

• Build relationships with founders, developers, VCs, and analysts to gather exclusive data and insights.
• Anticipate shifts in the market, emerging narratives, and macro trends affecting crypto.

✅ What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a crypto journalist, on-chain analyst, or financial writer.
• Excellent grasp of crypto markets, Web3, tokenomics, and blockchain infrastructure.
• Proficiency in on-chain tools like Dune, Nansen, Etherscan, or Glassnode.
• Ability to identify scams or vulnerabilities through critical reporting.
• Strong English writing and editing skills.
• Experience working with AI tools for research, transcription, or summarization (ethically and responsibly).
• Understanding of financial principles, risk management, and technical analysis.

🎓 Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or similar.
• Familiarity with traditional financial markets is a plus.
• Knowledge of crypto-native communities (Twitter, Discord, Telegram).
• Experience with multimedia content (podcasts, video, charts) is a bonus.

🏢 Location & Work Requirements

• Work hybrid: 2–3 days per week onsite in Lisbon, Frankfurt, or London.
• Must have EU/UK work authorization or obtain it prior to starting.
