Location: Almada, Setúbal, Portugal (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week onsite in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt)

Reports To: Managing Editor, Regional Head of Americas

A leading media, events, indices, and data company in crypto since 2013, delivering trusted news and analysis in the blockchain and digital asset space. Recently acquired by Bullish but operates independently with editorial integrity.

Role Overview

• Cover fast-moving developments in cryptocurrency markets (Bitcoin, Ethereum, major tokens)
• Provide real-time market news, updates, and in-depth trend analysis
• Monitor on-chain data, social media, regulatory filings, and traditional news for market-moving events
• Build and maintain a network of sources (traders, analysts, developers, execs)
• Produce insightful commentary on price movements, trading volumes, and sentiment
• Collaborate with editorial teams on story ideas and content quality
• Contribute to newsletters, podcasts, and video content as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years in financial journalism, focused on market reporting
• Deep passion and knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain
• Experience with traditional financial markets a plus
• Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and ethical journalism practices
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills; able to work under tight deadlines
• Proven ability to develop exclusive sources and reports
• Experience with on-chain data and key market metrics
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Finance, Economics, or related field is a plus
• Right to work in the UK or EU at start date
