The Role: Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join the Consumer Product Group and work on a new product offering—Coinbase for Business. You will be a founding member of a new team and take end-to-end ownership of the engineering work behind this new product, which includes features like international payments, payroll, and invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering Ownership: End-to-end ownership of the engineering for the new Coinbase for Business product, from backend design and architecture to writing code and building prototypes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams at Coinbase (product managers, designers, and other engineers) to launch supporting features like onboarding, multi-user support, payment rails, tax features, and commerce integrations.
• High-Quality Code: Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs and ensure that the product is scalable, secure, and user-friendly.
• Product Lifecycle Engagement: Collaborate with designers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle to ensure a smooth and well-executed product development process.

What We Look For in You:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years of experience developing web apps and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React.
• Frontend Development: Solid experience building user-facing features with React or similar frameworks, with a strong understanding of performance, security, and usability best practices in front-end architecture.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with product and design teams, contributing to the full product development lifecycle.
• Code Quality: Experience writing clean, tested, and maintainable code to meet customer needs.

Nice to Haves:

• Fintech Experience: Experience working on front-end teams in the fintech space is a plus.
• React Native: Experience with React Native mobile apps or transitioning native apps to React Native.
• Crypto Experience: Familiarity with crypto and onchain activity, such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or other blockchain-based services.

Compensation:

• Pay Range: $186,095—$218,900 USD (base salary)
• Full-time offers from Coinbase also include a target bonus, target equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
