Role Overview

As a Senior Trading Systems Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and availability of DRW’s trading ecosystem. You'll collaborate with traders, software engineers, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges. You will be the go-to person for ensuring smooth system operations and resolving issues that arise, interacting directly with exchanges, traders, and developers.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Maintain Trading Systems: Ensure the health and availability of DRW’s trading ecosystem.
• Provide Support: Respond to requests from traders and software engineers.
• Liaise with Partners: Work with external trading partners like financial exchanges and clearing firms to resolve technical issues.
• Onboard New Systems: Help onboard new trading desks, trading systems, and technologies.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5-10+ years in trade support, site reliability engineering, or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Networking Knowledge: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools.
• Trading & Financial Markets: Familiarity with trading platforms and the financial markets.
• Kubernetes: Experience working in a production Kubernetes environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Linux/Unix: Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
