Senior Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S. employees will be hired as W-2 employees; international candidates will be considered as independent contractors)

• Proof of Proof (PoP): A universal verifiable computing framework leveraging zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs and formal methods to enable trustless remote computing, AI, and smart contract interoperability.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ZK Engineer specializing in zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology to contribute to our Proof of Proof framework. You will work on both the ZK frontend and backend, implementing advanced cryptographic algorithms, optimizing performance, and integrating the latest ZKP innovations into our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the ZK frontend and backend for the Proof of Proof framework.
• Design and implement ZK algorithms for universal verifiable computing and trustless cross-chain interoperability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy high-performance and scalable cryptographic circuits using Circom, Arkworks, and similar platforms.
• Research and integrate cutting-edge ZKP protocols (e.g., zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs, folding schemes) into our framework.
• Validate proof correctness, security, and performance through rigorous analysis.
• Develop robust tools and reusable libraries to streamline ZKP development and facilitate adoption across the organization.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members in cryptography and ZK development.

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in zero-knowledge proofs, protocols, and virtual machines (VMs), including zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs, and folding schemes.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical frameworks for ZKP development (e.g., R1CS, AIR, polynomial commitments).
• Hands-on experience with ZKP development frameworks and tools such as Circom, Arkworks, or similar.
• Solid background in software development, version control systems, and collaboration tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience working remotely and across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications in cryptography/ZKP research journals or contributions to open-source ZK projects.
• Experience optimizing ZK circuits for high-performance applications.
• Understanding of blockchain architecture and smart contract security.
