Staff Product Designer - Institutional

Coinbase is looking for a Staff Product Designer to join their Institutional Team, focusing on developing Coinbase Prime – the most secure and full-service prime brokerage platform for institutions in the crypto-economy. This role offers an opportunity to work on groundbreaking products that enable institutions to securely manage and grow their crypto assets, execute trades, and access unique crypto-native features.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Design Ownership: Lead the design process for new products, including MVP concepts for payments, payroll, invoices, and more.
• Collaborative Design: Work with teams across Coinbase to launch features like onboarding, multi-user management, payment rails, and settings.
• Client Interaction: Gather insights from customers to inform strategic design decisions.
• Problem Solving: Contribute to solving complex product design challenges for institutional clients.

Requirements:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in Product Design with a proven track record of successfully shipping products.
• Design Expertise: Strong skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Cross-functional Communication: Experience managing stakeholders and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Fast-Paced Environments: Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly evolving environment.
• Tools: Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Interest in Crypto: Passion for crypto and/or financial products.

Nice to Have:

• Fintech Experience: Experience in B2B fintech (preferred) or consumer fintech.
• 0 to 1 Experience: Experience with launching new products in startups or internal ventures.

Compensation:

• Salary: $207,485 – $244,100 USD (based on location and qualifications).
