💼 Role Overview

As a Tax Accountant I on the State and Local Tax team, you’ll be responsible for preparing and filing sales/use tax, property tax, and gross receipts tax returns. You’ll support monthly close activities, contribute to automation and process improvements, assist with audits, and work with various internal teams including finance and technology.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly indirect tax returns and workpapers (sales/use, property, gross receipts)
• Assist with state and local tax audits
• Post journal entries and reconcile tax accounts in SAP
• Track state tax legislation and perform research
• Coordinate state registrations and sales tax setups
• Manage exemption certificates in OneSource
• Respond to state tax notices and internal sales tax inquiries
• Suggest and help implement process automation and improvements
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, tech, compliance)

✅ What You’ll Need

• 1–3 years of tax experience (preferably indirect or SALT)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience in sales/use tax filings is a plus
• Organized, positive, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Curiosity and openness to learning new tax software or AI tools
• Willingness to work hybrid and travel quarterly to a ZoomInfo office

💰 Salary Range

• $52,000 – $71,500 USD (base)
• Additional comp: bonus, equity, and benefits
