Job Summary
The Customer Executive (CE) serves as PepsiCo's market representative, managing single or multiple distributors and driving execution of joint business plans. The role focuses on sales growth, capability development, and efficient distribution management.
Key Responsibilities
Market Execution
- Deliver monthly secondary sales targets and gross revenue growth
- Plan and optimize sales routes
- Expand net distribution by increasing outlet coverage
- Grow weighted distribution by increasing SKUs per outlet
- Ensure stock availability and proper planogram execution
- Build strong customer relationships to improve satisfaction
Training & Communication
- Coach and train PSRs (Pre-Sales Representatives)
- Set monthly targets and monitor performance
- Motivate the team with incentive communication
- Conduct market visits with sales reps for execution coaching
Distributor Management
- Appoint or retire distributors and manage DB structure (hub/spokes)
- Ensure distributor profitability through adherence to Joint Business Plan
- Oversee recruitment and retention of sales staff
- Enforce FIFO and proper stock management to reduce stales
- Ensure timely order delivery and food compliance
- Develop distributor competencies aligned with PepsiCo standards
Qualifications
- Education: Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in FMCG or related sales/distribution roles
