About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer – Blockchain to lead the design, development, and optimization of Shardeum’s Mainnet, consensus layer, and protocol layer. You will work with highly talented engineers to build scalable, high-performance, and secure blockchain infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

🚀 Define technical strategy & architecture in collaboration with leadership

🛠 Develop & optimize blockchain components using Node.js & TypeScript

📈 Improve performance, scalability & security in a decentralized environment

📌 Mentor & train engineers on best coding practices & system design

🔍 Debug & resolve complex issues, enhancing network reliability

🔄 Contribute to new consensus and protocol software for Web3 scalability

📑 Review code, test implementations, and suggest improvements

Tech Stack & Tools

💻 Languages: Node.js, TypeScript, SQLite, Postgres

🌐 Frontend: React, Vue.js

⚙️ Infrastructure: Linux, Git, AWS, Docker, VSCode

What We’re Looking For

✅ Expertise in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems

✅ Strong coding skills & ability to write clean, efficient code

✅ Ability to quickly learn & adapt to new technologies

✅ Experience designing and implementing blockchain architectures

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have

➕ Experience with consensus protocols & smart contracts

➕ Familiarity with Shardeum / Shardus open-source repos

➕ Knowledge of cryptography, networks, and OS

➕ Contributions to open-source blockchain projects

➕ Experience running nodes in blockchain networks
