Responsibilities

Streamline and Own Infrastructure Workflows:

• Optimize and document infrastructure processes using tools like Terraform, Docker, and Airflow to create scalable and maintainable systems.

Ensure RPC Reliability:

• Maintain and optimize Solana RPC integrations using providers like Triton and Helius.

Elevate Observability:

• Develop robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Datadog, Sentry, or Grafana to improve visibility and system performance.

Promote Stability and Scalability:

• Architect systems that handle growth effortlessly, minimize downtime, and maintain high performance.

Collaborate on System Design:

• Partner with engineering teams to design and refine infrastructure that powers features like real-time monitoring, automated transaction execution, and analytics.

What You’ll Bring

Proven Experience:

• Strong track record in building high-performance, scalable systems with expertise in release engineering, infrastructure, and operations.

Observability Knowledge:

• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems, particularly using Datadog.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Rust and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is a plus, but not required. A strong interest in building high-performance backend systems is essential.

Balanced Mindset:

• Comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment but also enjoys collaborating with a team. Ability to understand trade-offs and advocate for pragmatic solutions.

AI Forwardness:

• Open to leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and workflows. Curious about the evolving AI landscape and adaptable in using these tools.

Understanding of DeFi:

• Familiarity with DeFi concepts, AMMs, and the Solana ecosystem is a plus but not required.

Hiring Process

Initial Screen (50-60 min):

• Discuss your experience with Solana, DeFi, and learn about Orca’s culture and the role. You might also complete a coding exercise to assess your technical skills.

Final Round (60 min each) + COO Chat (20 min):

• Participate in three back-to-back coding interviews with Orca engineers. The final discussion will be with Isaac, the COO, to discuss Orca’s vision and future.
