🔹 Role Mission

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will:

• Lead technical projects end-to-end
• Own system design and architecture decisions
• Guide other engineers on best practices and mentor them
• Build foundational infrastructure (e.g. config systems, orchestration, secrets storage)
• Contribute production-grade, well-tested code
• Influence product direction and roadmap in partnership with PMs and design

🔹 Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Demonstrated success architecting large systems
• Track record of shipping impactful products
• Strong coding standards and ability to write production-level, secure, and testable code
• Passion for the crypto mission and open financial systems

🔹 Preferred Skills & Experience

While not mandatory, these significantly boost your candidacy:

• Crypto-native development experience: Smart contracts, dApp integrations, ENS, interacting with Ethereum addresses
• Worked at a company scaling from tens to hundreds of engineers
• Experience with:
• Golang and Ruby (Rails, Sinatra)
• PostgreSQL, Docker, microservices architecture
• Decomposing large monolithic apps into microservices
• Building for high reliability, high security, especially in regulated/financial environments
